We live a society where millions are made by beauty industries. We are constantly surrounded by images and ads in shops, on TV, bill- boards, magazines etc, telling us we desperately need there products. Then we buy these products and they don’t do what they claim to do, you don’t get rid of your spots are application, your exercise machine didn’t give you tighter buttocks and thighs, that diet didn’t enable you to lose 7lbs in 7 days and so on. We begin to think we are a failure and nothing will help. We look in the mirror and are not happy with the image we believe we see and so develops are negative body image perception.

It is important to remember that we should love our shape. Your body shape is unique and you own it on its own. You can begin to love your body again if you remember:

Companies want you to spend your money and manipulate to do so by making you feel inadequate.

  • Exercise on a regular basis is more effective than a restrictive diet, start by walking to school, swimming and even going dancing with your friends. Even if no weight is lost exercise ultimately makes you feel better, healthier and fitter.
  • Remember love your shape and the fact you are unique.
  • Love you body think twice when looking at magazines what we see isn’t always real, images are manipulated and airbrushed to create flawless skin, make peoples appear taller and slimmer etc.
