Anorexia 

 

 Physical Behavioural Emotional
Severe and unexplained weight loss, even in a person already very thin.Excessive exercising, often compulsive or part of a rigid routine.Anxiety & Depression
Erratic menstrual periods or stopping of them altogether.Tendency towards perfectionism.Tearfulness
Sleeping problems.Skipping meals or eating less at each meal.Anger
Stomach pains.Avoiding situations where food is likely to be consumed.Extreme mood swings
Feeling cold all the time and having cold purple hands and feet.Lying about eating meals.Low self-esteem
Development of fine downy hair on the face and neck. Rejecting friends and relatives
  Poor concentration

Bulimia

Recurrent sore throats

 Developing rituals around eating. Anxiety & Depression
 Frequent changes in weight, however weight may be normal. Eating large amounts of food.  Tearfulness
 Dermatitis around the mouth.  Being sick after meals or taking laxatives.Anger
 Swollen glands, or development of “Hamster Cheeks”.  Extreme Mood Swings
 Tooth decay.  Low Self-Esteem
 Broken blood vessels in eyes.  Rejecting friends and relatives
 Dry or poor skin condition.  Poor concentration
 Persistent stomach pain with constipation and dehydration.  Introspection
   Lack of interest in relationships or sex
